Recreating Pink Floyd
We are a group of friends and musicians with more than 20 years experience of touring throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. It’s our mutual love of Pink Floyd and Roger Waters that has finally brought us together to fulfill our life long ambition to perform our show, the ‘Theatre of Floyd’
Created in the summer of 2022 we have been working constantly on the show, giving life once more to some of the greatest songs ever written, and bringing to the stage our interpretation of Pink Floyd’s theatrical performances.
Immerse yourself in the glory of the most iconic progressive rock band of all time, performed ‘with random precision’ by us, the Theatre of Floyd. Celebrate as we bring their incredible music to life and let the spectacle transport you into the music and lyrical genius of Pink Floyd and Roger Waters.
Welcome everyone, young and old, join us and experience the brilliance of ‘our surrogate band’, ‘we want to find out where you fans really stand…’ – Theatre of Floyd
Vocals
A chaotic childhood shaped my creative journey as the youngest of nine siblings. When everyone moved out, I was left with my dad, filling the silence with 80s music like The Police and U2, inspired by my cool brother Ian. My love for performing began early, helping my magician uncle on stage, leading to public magic shows at 13. Singing became a passion, and after encouragement from teachers, I pursued entertainment. I worked as a Butlins Redcoat, later appearing on Stars in Their Eyes as Bono, which launched U2UK, my tribute band. Now, I’m immersed in Pink Floyd, inspired by its magic and our incredible group of musicians. Here’s to the journey ahead!
Vocal/Guitar
I’ve been a working live and session musician for over 40 years, with music always at the center of my life. Along the way, I became a music producer and, for the past decade, an established voice artist, narrating books for Audible, ACX, and Podium Audio.
I’ve been a lifelong, avid fan of Pink Floyd—a love that’s inspired much of my creative journey. Back in the early eighties, I played trumpet in brass bands, but things got serious, and my path evolved into something bigger.
Music and storytelling have shaped my life, and they continue to drive everything I do.
Guitar
I’ve been playing guitar for over 35 years, but my journey started with the violin in the county orchestra. Everything changed the day I heard Comfortably Numb—I walked out, bought my first Strat, and never looked back.
I studied music in college, and seeing Pink Floyd live in 1990 cemented my decision to pursue music wholeheartedly. Since then, I’ve taught guitar, recorded, and performed extensively, always pushing myself to grow as a musician. I play Fender, Peavey, and Music Man guitars, constantly seeking the perfect tone to bring my passion to life on stage.
This is what I was meant to do, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Rhythm/Acoustic Guitar
I picked up my first guitar at 13, and that moment sparked a lifelong journey into music. With over 30 years of playing under my belt, my focus began with acoustic guitar and fingerpicking, which laid the foundation for my style.
These days, I play a Fender Strat, a Taylor 12-string, and a Takamine classical, to bring Pink Floyd's music to life.
Over the years, I’ve played in various bands and worked as a touring sound engineer, supporting acts across the UK. My career has also taken me into theaters as a visiting technician.
Inspired by the timeless music of Pink Floyd, my passion for creativity and sound continues to evolve, always driven by a deep love for music.
Drums
I’ve been passionate about music since I started playing drums at 15, performing with local bands before spending over 20 years on the professional circuit as a drummer and guitarist. A lifelong fan of Pink Floyd, Animals is my favorite album, and “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” never fails to inspire me. My silver sparkle drum kit, modeled after Nick Mason’s iconic setup, reflects my admiration for his unique style and creativity.
When I’m not performing, I run my own gym. Staying fit has always been a priority, giving me the stamina and energy to deliver exciting live performances.
Keys
I’ve been playing and producing music of all kinds for over 30 years, growing up on a steady diet of Pink Floyd and progressive rock that deeply influenced my style. While I play drums, guitar, and bass, with TOF, I focus on keyboards.
I studied Film and Performing Arts at college, which helped shape my creative approach. These days, I also teach Yoga and Tai Chi, blending movement and mindfulness into my life alongside music.
For TOF, I currently use a Roland Fantom, a vintage Korg CX3 (1978), and a Kawai 100f to craft our unique sound.
Bass
Growing up in a chaotic household, music was my escape. My brothers Ollie and Zain shared a love for everything from ABBA to Motörhead. As a young artist, I painted band logos on their jackets, and at 14, Zain gave me my first bass guitar. By 15, I was gigging with a rock band. At 17, I met drummer Simon Pellecchia, and we formed several bands, bonding over influences like Bowie and Pink Floyd. In 2001, we co-founded U2UK, a U2 tribute band that took us worldwide. In 2022, our shared love for Floyd led to forming Theatre of Floyd, creating a show we’re proud to share.
